Tunnels & Trolls Adventures
Hot Pursuit has been expanded as per Golden Dust, Red Death – it’s now a full-length adventure, with more to discover, battle and outsmart. The price has been raised for the new content, but you get it all for FREE if you’ve already bought it!
New dangers and rewards lurk in the City of Terrors, only now you may find out that someone (or something) is threatening the entire city. You’ll travel from the Kraken’s Cove Tavern all the way (perhaps) to the Palace and may even meet some royalty. But of course, it’s no cakewalk – there are plenty of perils to overcome. And be sure to keep an eye out for spies. There seem to be plenty of them in the City of Terrors right now. Who knows, maybe you’ll even be one of them, or maybe they are looking for you…
Also, a new adventure in Gull, The City of Terrors, is now available to play: Michael Stackpole’s classic Sewers of Oblivion.
During a fight, people who don’t seem to like you too much dump you in the sewers. Now you’ll have to find a way out before you either get sick and die, or some of the stinking denizens in the sewers eat you or rob you blind. Fortunately, there is someone willing to help you – but can they be trusted?
The Tunnels & Trolls Adventures app is available on iOS and Android. Further information can be found at MetaArcade’s blog.
Dungeons & Dragons: Endless Quest
Penguin Random House and Candlewick Entertainment have recently announced a new Endless Quest series set in the Forgotten Realms D&D campaign setting. Written by Matt Forbeck (author and designer of numerous games, novels and comics), these CYOA-style gamebooks offer the opportunity to adventure within The Realms as a different character type in each of the four books: a fighter, rogue, wizard and cleric.
Welcome to the Forgotten Realms Endless Quest books, where you don’t just read a fantastic tale. You become the hero — and choose your own fate.
Escape the Underdark ~ you awaken in an underground cell, stripped of your armour and your sword. Your fellow prisoners inform you that you’re trapped in the Underdark, soon to be taken to the great drowcity of Menzoberranzan and sold off as a slave. But word is that demons are stirring in the underworld’s depth. Perhaps you can use that to break free, fighter.
To Catch a Thief ~ when you tried to pick the pocket of a civilar in the night-shrouded streets of Waterdeep, you never thought she’d catch you — and you never dreamed she’d force you into her service. Now you must find the baby griffon stolen by the beholder Xanathar, leader of the city’s powerful Thieves’ Guild. And if you should fail . . . you can count on spending the rest of your life behind bars, rogue.
Big Trouble ~ when evil giants attack your home in Ardeep Forest, your parents think you’re dead and they go hunting for your missing little brother. You wake up and set out after them, helped by a giant wizard who lives in a flying tower. You don’t know where they’ve gone, but you know that if you don’t find them, you’re all in big trouble. Wield your magic wisely against the giants, wizard.
Into the Jungle ~ the Harpers have lost one of their own, a legendary adventurer named Artus Cimber, keeper of the artifact known as the Ring of Winter. They’ve hired you to travel to the jungle-clad land of Chult to find him. If only you can manage to find Cimber before the frost giants do — or the zombies that infest the land get you first. You’re in the jungle now, cleric.
To be published by Candlewick Entertainment on September 4th, Dungeons & Dragons: Endless Quest will be available in both paperback and hardcover. More information is available at the Penguin Random House website.
A special thank you to Richie Stevens for his early notification about the Endless Quest series. GBN is eager to know further details regarding these new books, and about the return of the series, so we’ll feature an interview with author Matt Forbeck sometime before their release.

Four Against Darkness
Buried Secrets is a new solitaire adventure from Ganesha Games for the dungeon-delving pen-and-paper game Four Against Darkness. It is one part of the Gathering of the Four campaign – a series of five scenarios: four to be played as stand-alone adventures with a single hero, and the last to be played with the four heroes united against a common enemy. Note that you will also require the Four Against Darkness book to play Buried Secrets.
Written by Victor Jarmusz, Buried Secrets takes place in the world of Norindaal – the backdrop of fantasy games published by Ganesha Games. Featuring 144 numbered sections divided into two parts, you play as a 3ʳᵈ level cleric, tasked with exploring the town of Falzbend and its surrounds, searching for an unmarked grave to thwart the foul plans of the necromancer Xi-Golog.
A Chaos sorceress is on the loose. Dark clouds gather over the countryside. Undead monsters are everywhere. And there’s a buried treasure that must not fall into the wrong hands.
Buried Secrets is available as a pdf from Ganesha Games, or as a perfect-bound paperback from Lulu.
