First things first: MASTER is a brutal sixty page dark fantasy story filled with violence, monsters, and psychedelic visuals. You play a great warrior whose superlative training in destroying daemons has developed your sight to the point where you can see into the bodies and minds of your opponents. Useful? Yes! Especially when your sole desire is to find the greatest kill. Not for nothing is your character’s name used as the title of the book…
MASTER is not your average interactive adventure; it is a graphic novel that uses Red and Blue 3D glasses to provide interactivity and bring innovative visuals to the regular comic book format. By using the glasses, you gain a sense of how Master sees by closing one eye at a time and shifting between them.
This book’s prequel, WARLOCK, took two and a half years to make. It was created for many different reasons: to bring a dream into reality (by experiencing seeing the world simultaneously through the eyes of two different beings at the same time), to share the experiences of psychedelic visuals and states of mind which link to schizophrenia or hallucinations, and to explore the idea of what we truly are. Are we nothing more than our physical forms, or is our consciousness much more than that?
Dale Forward, the creator of MASTER, has used 3D glasses in multiple art exhibitions in NSW Australia, and is well known locally for his art style. For readers wanting to feast their eyes, MASTER and WARLOCK can be ordered directly from Dale’s official website.
