Man of Medan is the first release in The Dark Pictures Anthology, a new series of cinematic supernatural horror games from Supermassive Games (Until Dawn) for PS4, Xbox One and Steam. Published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe, this series of stand-alone narrative games will feature storylines that change based on the decisions you make.
Each game in The Dark Pictures Anthology is designed to be re-playable, with branching storylines, paths and numerous endings created to keep players coming back time and again. New titles in the series will provide a complete and original story, a different setting and a new cast of characters. Players’ decisions are vitally important for the survival of all characters… with any combination of them surviving, or dying, at any wrong turn!
The story of Man of Medan starts off on a dive boat in the South Pacific. With a rumoured WWII wreck to find, and plenty of on-deck partying to be had, our group of four young Americans and their skipper Fliss get ready for what should be the trip of a lifetime… but it doesn’t quite go to plan. As the day unfolds, and a storm rolls in, they find themselves trapped on-board a ghost ship. Subjected to unimaginable stress and terror, they must try to find a way to escape the ship and its sinister history.
Switch between the perspective of 5 playable characters – all of which can live or die in your version of the story. Man of Medan is playable in three modes: Solo, Shared Story (online 2-player co-op) and Movie Night (up to 5 players offline couch play).
Solo story
The complete terrifying story as a single-player experience.
Shared story
2-player online co-operative mode. Play the whole story online with a friend, making choices that affect you both.
Movie Night mode
You and up to 4 friends will play the story together on the couch, each controlling a different character.
