‘Normal Club: An Unusual Amount of Paranormal Hot Spots

Humorous, colourful, and full of teenage angst and attitude, ‘Normal Club from developer Cubus Games (The Frankenstein Wars, Heavy Metal Thunder etc.) is an interactive gamebook app in which you explore the town of Buckcreek and its mysterious surroundings in search of paranormal hot spots.

Adapted from author Philip Armstrong’s winning entry in the 2013 Windhammer Prize for Short Gamebook Fiction, ‘Normal Club is an investigative game in which you play as a team of three members of the West C. High School Competitive Paranormal Investigation Club as they investigate a big scoop and try to beat their academic rivals at Buckcreek Academy. This new app version of the original adventure has been extensively expanded with additional content, and now includes plenty of new areas to explore, helpful items to find, and trophies to acquire.

For a perfectly normal American town, Buckcreek sure has an unusual amount of paranormal hot spots. While the team might be tempted to stake out the first spooky graveyard or haunted zoo they come across, it might be better if they narrow down their options and actually figure out the location of tonight’s big discovery.

FEATURES:

  • Explore Buckcreek and its mysterious surroundings in search of paranormal hot spots
  • Build your team of misfit investigators (including Jim Morrison – the Club’s pet chupacabra and mascot – or not)
  • Overcome challenges to progress and collect the right clues
  • Comic-like, simple interface
  • Binaural audio to create immersive soundscapes
  • Interactive narrative with hundreds of (funny) choices

‘Normal Club is available for iOS and Android from iTunes and the Google Play Store. Visit the Cubus Games website for further information on their impressive range of digital gamebooks.
